CLASP
recognizes the
Economy Shop at November 12, 2023 Celebration

Claremont After-School Programs (CLASP) celebrated 18 years of after-school services to Claremont Unified School District students on Sunday, November 12 in a ceremony at Claremont Graduate University’s President’s House. CLASP also recognized nonprofit thrift store the Economy Shop for its continuous support and 90 years of service to the community.

2023 Shop Maintenance Projects

During the summer close, volunteers/shop manager were busy:

  • Rearranged the shop merchandise

  • Attended to cleaning and painting

  • Upgraded small fixture and displays

2022 Interior Improvements

Interior improvements over the summer included:

  • 2 new chandeliers in the windows
  • New throw rugs
  • New louver doors
  • Come in and enjoy browsing our delightful selection of items.
  • New arrivals every week!

2021 Interior Remodel

Interior remodel  included:

  • A new floor

  • Interior painting

  • New lighting

  • Other miscellaneous items

  • There was no cost to The Economy Shop as all improvements were donated
